What to expect

What happens after you get in touch

Booking a pickup with us follows a consistent process regardless of how you first make contact — phone call, Facebook message or the form on this page.

We will ask about the material: what type of metal, roughly how much and whether it is mostly one material or a mixed pile. A clear description is usually enough; photos sent through the form or Facebook help if you are unsure about grades or want us to confirm what you have before booking.

We will ask about access — whether the metal is in a driveway, shed, backyard, side path, loading dock or somewhere more complicated. This determines which vehicle we bring and how long we schedule for the job. Access issues flagged in advance avoid surprises on collection day.

We will agree on a time. Standard residential pickups are usually available next business day. Same-day collection is sometimes possible depending on our schedule and your suburb. Larger jobs and commercial sites get a dedicated time window to allow for proper loading.

On collection day, we assess the material on site, weigh it and agree on the final price before loading. Payment is made by cash or EFT at the time of collection. No call-out fees, no fuel surcharges and no fees added after the quote.

Contact FAQ

Questions about getting in touch

01How quickly can you come out for a pickup?

Most standard residential pickups are available the next business day. Same-day collection is sometimes possible depending on our run schedule and your suburb — calling directly is the best way to check. Larger work-site and commercial jobs are scheduled in advance with a dedicated time window.

02Can I get a price estimate before booking?

Yes. A price range is usually possible from a description and photos. Metal prices move daily with the market, so we quote based on current rates. The final price is confirmed on site after weighing and grading — but we will tell you the basis for that price before anything is loaded.

03What should I have ready when I call?

Your suburb, the type of material (or your best guess), approximate quantity or volume, and any access details — stairs, gates, distance from the road, whether the site is active. Photos are useful for mixed or uncertain piles and can be sent through Facebook or attached to a callback request.

04Do you respond to Facebook messages?

Yes. Facebook Messenger is a good option when you have photos to share. Include an image of the full area, close-ups of any copper, aluminium or brass, and your suburb. We respond during operating hours — Monday to Friday 7am–6pm and Saturday 8am–4pm.

05Is there a minimum load size?

There is no minimum order for most standard residential pickups within Greater Brisbane. For smaller loads from outside the core service area, it may depend on the material value — contact us and describe what you have, and we will give you a straight answer.
