About us
A local service built around the job
Brisbane Scrap Metal Recyclers is a locally run pickup-based service operating across Greater Brisbane and surrounding areas. We collect scrap metal, old vehicles, unwanted appliances and e-waste directly from your property — then pay fair, market-based prices for what we take.
The business was set up to solve a practical problem: too many Brisbane households and tradespeople were either paying to dispose of material that still had significant value, or spending a half-day driving it to a facility themselves. We simplified that by coming to you. You describe the load, we plan the collection, we arrive with the right equipment, and we clear the material without the hassle.
The customers who book with us most often are homeowners clearing out a shed, garage or deceased estate; tradespeople with renovation or job-site offcuts; landlords and property managers preparing a rental for new tenants; and demolition contractors handling larger mixed loads. Whatever the situation, the service works the same way — free pickup, accurate on-site assessment, and cash or EFT payment on the day.

Our process
How every pickup works
Our process has been kept simple on purpose. You call or message us with a description of what you have — or send photos if you are unsure of the grades or have a mixed pile. We ask about the material, the approximate volume, your suburb and the access situation. From that, we give you a realistic quote or a price range and agree on a pickup time.
On the day, we arrive with the right vehicle and equipment for the job, carry out the assessment on site, agree on the final price with you, and clear the material. Payment is made in cash or EFT at the time of collection. There are no call-out fees, fuel surcharges or lifting fees added after the quote — what we discuss beforehand is what you get.
If you have a mixed load where you are not sure of the grades or weights involved, that is not a problem. We are used to assessing varied piles and explaining our grading clearly before we commit to loading anything. You will know exactly what we are paying for and why before the truck is loaded.

Coverage
Brisbane-wide and beyond
We service all suburbs across Greater Brisbane. That includes northside suburbs such as Chermside, Aspley, Sandgate and Redcliffe; southside including Sunnybank, Moorooka, Rocklea and Runcorn; bayside including Wynnum, Capalaba, Redland Bay and Cleveland; the Logan corridor including Logan Central, Browns Plains, Springwood and Beenleigh; and the Ipswich corridor including Ipswich, Redbank, Springfield and Goodna.
There are no zone-based fees or minimum order requirements for standard residential pickups within Greater Brisbane. If you are located outside our primary service area, contact us — we can often accommodate larger loads or unusually valuable material even from further out. The easiest check is a quick phone call with your suburb and a description of the load.
Responsible recycling
Metal recycling matters more than most people realise
Metal recycling is one of the most energy-efficient forms of material recovery. Recycling steel uses approximately 74 per cent less energy than producing it from iron ore. Recycled aluminium requires around 95 per cent less energy than smelting new aluminium from bauxite. Recovering copper reduces demand for increasingly deep and costly mining operations.
Brisbane generates significant volumes of recyclable metal through renovation activity, urban development, vehicle end-of-life and normal household accumulation. When that material ends up in landfill — through hard waste collections or tip runs by people who were not sure where to take it — the embedded value and the environmental benefit of recycling are lost permanently.
We route all material to licensed processors with appropriate recycling streams for each metal type. Batteries, refrigerant-containing appliances and electronic waste components are handled in compliance with Queensland environmental requirements. We do not dump and do not cut corners on compliance when it involves materials that require careful handling.
Why choose us
What makes us different
We hear consistent feedback from customers who have used other scrap services before calling us. Prices came in lower than quoted because weights were unclear. The truck did not show up on time. Unexpected fees appeared on collection day. The pile had to be sorted in advance before anyone would commit to a pickup.
We try to be straightforward about all of these points. Metal prices move with the daily market and we quote clearly based on current rates — but we explain our grading before we commit. We show up when we say we will. We do not add fees on collection day. If an access problem or an awkward item creates a loading issue, we raise it before we arrive, not after the truck is already in your driveway.
Our Facebook page carries reviews from Brisbane customers across a range of real jobs: garage clear-outs, deceased estate removals, work-site offcuts and scrap car collections. We would rather you read what past customers have actually experienced than take our word for any of it.
